Pre-construction documentation
We explain your duty holder responsibilities under CDM 2015, prepare and submit the F10 notification to the HSE where thresholds are triggered, and develop a construction phase plan covering Health and Safety arrangements, site rules, risk management, and emergency procedures.
Site setup and live oversight
Welfare facilities, traffic management, pedestrian segregation, access controls, and signage planned before the first day on site. Clear site rules and induction materials communicated to all workers, with translated versions where needed. Regular CDM site inspections against the phase plan and HSE guidance L153.
Documented findings and corrective actions
Every inspection produces documented findings with prioritised corrective actions. Regulatory queries and HSE communications handled as the project progresses, with the phase plan updated as the build evolves.

Sector-specific compliance
Builders Merchants
Yard reconfigurations, canopies and racking installs all count as construction work under CDM 2015, and that puts client duties on you. We coordinate it all, from the F10 notification through to construction phase plans and inspections, while your site keeps trading.

Warehousing & Logistics
Mezzanines, racking and fit-outs all trigger CDM 2015 client duties, and those duties stay with you even when a contractor does the work. We manage every obligation from notification through to inspections, so the project runs while operations carry on around it.

Manufacturing & Engineering
Installing plant or modifying a factory makes you the client under CDM 2015, often with a production line still running alongside the work. We coordinate the full client duties, from F10 to phase plans and inspections, and manage the overlap between works and production so your line keeps moving.

Garden Centres
New structures, café builds and refits are all construction work under CDM 2015, and the client duties are yours while the centre stays open to families. We handle every obligation from notification through to inspection and plan the works around public access.

Metal Stockholders
Crane gantry installs, resurfacing and structural works all fall under CDM 2015, and in a working yard the client duties are easy to miss. We coordinate the full package, from F10 to inspections, and manage the overlap with day-to-day materials handling.

Childcare & Nurseries
Nursery fit-outs, extensions and play installations are CDM 2015 projects, and the client duties that come with them often catch settings off guard. We manage every obligation and take particular care to keep the works separated from children and staff.

By the end, every CDM 2015 duty is documented, every site inspection evidenced, and every regulatory touchpoint handled - one package, one consultant, one audit trail.
Frequently asked questions
What does a Competent Person actually do?
A Competent Person takes legal responsibility for your H&S compliance. That covers risk assessments, audits, policy, training coordination and regulatory compliance. You get accountability for getting it done, not advice you have to action yourself.
Can you work alongside our existing H&S team?
Yes. Many clients use us to extend their internal capability - specialist assessments, regulatory liaison, and Competent Person cover during absences. We support your team, not replace them.
How quickly can you start?
One-off projects can typically be scheduled within days. Partnership clients have a named consultant operational within two to three weeks. Urgent situation - an HSE inspection notice, for example - we mobilise faster.
What makes your sector specialists different from generic consultants?
A generic consultant applies standard regulations. Our specialists know the specific hazards common in your industry and the enforcement priorities that apply to it. For builders merchants, that means forklift operations around public access. For childcare, it means Ofsted compliance alongside workplace safety. For warehousing, it means racking inspections and shift-pattern risk.
What's the difference between the Partnership, one-off projects, and Compliance Cloud?
The Partnership gives you a named Competent Person who manages compliance end-to-end. One-off projects deliver specific services without ongoing commitment. Compliance Cloud is the software platform for real-time compliance management. Many clients combine them.
