Alex Banks

Alex Banks is an experienced Health and Safety Consultant with over 10 years' experience supporting organisations across manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, builders' merchants, retail and service environments.

He provides practical, proportionate health and safety support, with experience across risk assessment, workplace inspections and audits, fire risk assessment, COSHH, noise, machinery safety, contractor management, accident investigation and the development of safe systems of work, policies and procedures.

Having worked within complex manufacturing and aerospace environments before moving into consultancy, Alex has developed a strong understanding of operational risk and of health and safety arrangements that are both legally compliant and workable in practice.

Alex holds the NEBOSH National General Certificate and the NEBOSH Level 6 National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, and is a Certified Member of IOSH. He also holds a BA (Hons).

As a client's designated Competent Person, Alex is practical, approachable and proportionate. He takes the time to understand how each business operates and gives clear, realistic advice rather than a one-size-fits-all view. He believes good health and safety advice should be easy to understand and straightforward to implement, and works closely with clients to talk through issues, agree priorities and find sensible solutions.
