Recognise, support, and signpost at work
Mental Health Awareness training gives learners the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions, start a supportive non-judgemental conversation, and signpost a person to professional help. Delegates do not diagnose or treat conditions - that remains with healthcare professionals. Opus arranges mental health awareness training through a specialist partner. Opus handles booking and queries, so the course sits alongside the rest of your H&S and people training rather than being a separate provider relationship.

Three steps to a certified team
Pick the course, confirm a date, and we run the training. Every delegate leaves with a certificate - clear booking, clear agenda, no admin chase.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do we book?
Contact us and we will route the enquiry directly. They will connect you with the appropriate partner, confirm pricing and availability, and answer any questions about certification.
How long does the course take?
Typically one day. The FAA Level 1 Award in Mental Health Awareness is commonly delivered as a half-day or full-day introductory session, depending on the partner and the size of the group.
Is the course accredited?
The course is delivered as the FAA Level 1 Award. The FAA is a recognised UK awarding body for first aid and mental health qualifications, with courses mapped to a defined level and duration.
What is the difference between this and Mental Health First Aid?
Mental Health Awareness is an introductory course covering recognition and signposting. Mental Health First Aid is a longer, more in-depth qualification for designated first aiders who will act as a named point of contact for colleagues in distress.
Where is the course delivered?
In-house at your site, or at a partner centre - confirmed at booking. Most one-day mental health awareness courses are offered as in-house sessions to limit travel and keep the cohort as a single team, but the partner sets the final delivery format.
Who delivers the training?
Opus arranges mental health awareness training through a specialist partner. Opus handles the booking and any queries. Based on your timeline and group size we can route you to the partner who fits best, or flag an alternative Opus course if that covers your need more directly.
Who is the delivery partner?
The course is delivered through a specialist training partner. Opus is transparent about routing the booking to a partner rather than presenting the course as an in-house Opus product.
