Emergency First Aid at Work is the HSE-recognised one-day course that qualifies nominated first aiders in lower-risk workplaces. Delegates cover incident management, resuscitation, the core first aid priorities and the common workplace injuries they are most likely to encounter. Delivered on-site at your premises for up to 12 delegates. A closed course lets Opus tailor the scenarios to your sector and incident arrangements.

Assessment and 3-year certificate
Delegates are continuously monitored and complete a multiple-choice assessment. Successful delegates receive a Certificate of Attendance valid for 3 years. Annual refresher training is recommended to keep skills sharp.

Who it's for
Anyone nominated as an Emergency First Aider in your organisation. Typically used in lower-risk workplaces - offices, light construction, retail and similar. Higher-risk workplaces usually require the three-day First Aid at Work qualification instead.

Prerequisites
None required. Delegates need a reasonable level of physical fitness to perform CPR and practical first aid tasks during the assessed sessions.
What you get
HSE-recognised Certificate of Attendance valid for 3 years on successful completion of continuous monitoring plus a multiple-choice assessment. Annual refresher training is recommended. The certificate must be renewed to continue acting as a first aider at work.
