Course Content Information

Who should attend?

This course is recommended for line managers, office managers and anyone who is responsible for people management.


9.30am – 1.00pm


£110 pp + VAT per session or £190 pp + VAT for both sessions.

Session One – Workshop Content

  • Absence Management: What can you do as an employer to manage long term and sporadic absenteeism?
  • Flexible Working: What it is, and the importance of getting flexible working requests in writing.
  • Dependants Leave and Parental Leave: The difference.
  • Hybrid Working and Contract Variations: When to issue a new contract and how to manage the process.

Session Two – Workshop Content

  • Investigations: A step by step guide, and why you may need to conduct them as pandemic restrictions are lifted;
  • Disciplinary Procedure: Is it applicable and how to go about the process?
  • Grievance Procedure: Should you signpost employees to it and why? How to manage the process;
  • Capability Procedure: When your employee is not performing. Is it conduct or capability? Is it performance or medical related? We’ll guide you through.
